Maritime Security/Assessments

After the attacks of 11 September 2001, the world has changed.  Security is now paramount to detect and deter any possible terrorist attack or criminal intent.  The Maritime Industry is one of the most vulnerable as evidenced by the increase in piracy off the coast of Somalia, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Malacca Straits and other areas.  This impacts our global economy as well as overall security.  Port facilities should be one of the first lines of defense against smuggling and trafficking operations.  Argus International personnel are certified through the International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) and the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).  We provide the following services in support of the maritime industry:

• Port Security Assessments are conducted in accordance with the ISPS Code.
• Ship security assessments are conducted in accordance with ISPS Code.
• We can assist a port facility and/or shipping company in developing security plans in accordance with ISPS Code. 
• We provide security on vessels in transit through dangerous locations (ex: Malacca Straits to Horn of Africa).
• We provide anti and counter piracy services, which our personnel have experience and are currently providing in these regions.
